The photo above was taken by me before 1 month in a wedding ceremony, where I was invited as a Photographer :)

By profession I am a Photographer as well as a Videographer too. I have a Photo Studio as my own business. As part of my profession I am a shopkeeper too. Being a shopkeeper is very hard job :). Depends on the nature of business, a shopkeeper need to be a social person, polite, frank speaking, bla bla bla :P

Yes !, this post is about this topic, I am here with some unique blog promoting tricks. Let's start with the points:

Blog address on Business Card.

This is really a good idea to tell people that YOU ARE A BLOGGER. If you are a business holder/ Shopkeeper/Manager/Job Holder sure you need a Business Card (Visiting Card). If you have been visiting card sure you are giving it to your customers isn't it? Just write your blog address on it, card will do its best Marketing :).

Blog address on Bill.

Especially if you are a shopkeeper, sure you are using bills. This is another unique idea to promote your blog. Just write down your blog address in the contact section of your bill, you will be doing marketing of your blog with your business :)

Sticker Marketing

Yes, a new marketing strategy for shopkeeper and business holders, just create and print out a small sticker addressing your blog and stick it to the wall or entrance door, but I am using my computers casing for it :) look at the image below, I believe this is another cool idea to promote your blog locally.

Blog address on Results.

This one is another brilliant idea to promote your blog among students, here in Nepal. SLC board just published the results of School Leaving Certificate (Which is known as an Iron Gate for Nepali Students).  In my shop I used to check their results and print out, while printing i just wrote: Result Prented by Pokharatech.com. Look at the image below.

Oh yes, I have more points to share, here I have listed some other cool ideas to promote your blog locally !


  • If you own cyber cafe, you can make your blog address as homepage of all the computers. If you are using Cafetimer, or any other timing software, you can show your blog address below of time spend by the user. I know every user will see your blog url while they check their timing.
  • If you own Computer Training Institute, you can design a desktop showing your blog address wallpaper and put it as desktop wallpaper for all computers you have.
  • If you own a photo studio or any designing service related business, you can write your blog address on the photo you have taken or the design you created.
  • If you own a hotel or restaurant, you can write your blog address on the menu.
  • If you own a mobile shop and you are giving the service to transfer songs and video, you can create id3 tag for songs to show your blog's address on songs or you can rename songs/videos by showing your blog address.

My opinion 

As a shopkeeper, I need to do many tasks daily. If I am busy for whole day, of course there is a lack of time for my blog, isn't it? In this situation I need to think some extra idea to promote my blog along with my daily job.

Some of the points mentioned above are done by me practically. It really helps me to promote my blog locally, I found it very useful for me that's why I am sharing it with you. There are several ideas to promote your blog online, many people promote their blog online but they are unknown about local marketing of their blog.
